Dawn Southworth
Dawn Southworth creates mixed media works using a wide range of materials and processes. She incorporates painting, drawing, embroidering, cutting and burning, among others. Her three–dimensional work features found objects, such as bottles and shoes. Using a variety of materials for surfaces, she has an extraordinary ability to fuse together tough wood and glass alongside delicate paper and fabric.

Biography
Dawn Southworth's mixed media works have received fellowships from the
Massachusetts Cultural Council in each of the disciplines of Painting and
Drawing. In addition, Southworth's installations and objects have received a
NEA/NEFA Fellowship in the category of Sculpture and a Berkshire Taconic
Foundation's Artist Resource Trust Award. Dawn's work has been the subject
of numerous solo exhibitions nationally, including: the Maguerite
Oestreicher Gallery in New Orleans; the James Gallery in Houston;
Cavin-Morris Gallery in New York City; and regionally at Clark Gallery and
the Addison Gallery of American Art. Her work is represented in many public
and private collections including: the DeCordova Museum; the Addison Gallery
of American Art; the Boston Public Library; Fidelity Management and
Research; and Diana Levine Fine Art at the Boston Design Center.
