Heather Blume

My focus as an artist is to create original sculpture, paintings, and drawings concerned with the human condition. My work is primarily but not exclusively figurative. I gravitate to narrative themes because I am always looking for metaphors to relate the complex nature of existence. Archetype, time sequence, and light are of special interest; that which produces open artwork and finds its purest expression through form, symbol, color, and gesture rather than verbal language.
